After having "closed or sold its money-losing hospitals in Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island," and with orders from the Health Department to close its Midtown branch, St. Vincent's has announced a plan to emerge from bankruptcy which includes the construction of a new hospital in Greenwich village.
