Ad campaign against health budget cuts
In conjuction with local hospitals, the labor union 1199 S.E.I.U. United Healthcare Workers East plans to mount a national advertising campaign to defeat spending cuts proposed by President Bush, along with a state campaign against Governor Spitzer's proposed cuts. Union officials are meeting with the Greater New York Hospital Association today to discuss their exact strategy, but they will attack the cuts as a danger to our health care system.
