Over the next two years, New York City's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will be distributing free medical records software to local clinics, focusing on practices with the highest volume of patients on Medicaid. It is the City's hope that the electronic system will help remind doctors and patients about necessary preventative care and make it easier for doctors to share information with one another.
